When to Recommend a Universal Inverter Kit
Many 5-to-8 year old inverter split air conditioners have discontinued motherboards. Rather than forcing the customer to spend ₹35,000+ on a brand-new AC, certified universal inverter boards provide complete micro-controlled drive for DC compressors and BLDC fan motors.
Essential Wiring Checklist:
- Match Compressor Drive Frequency: Universal kits support 1-to-2 HP rotary BLDC inverter compressors running R32, R410A, or R22 refrigerants.
- Connect Room & Coil Temperature Sensors: Universal kits include matched 5KΩ, 10KΩ, and 15KΩ NTC thermistors. Never reuse original sensors without verifying the kit resistance profile.
- Verify DC Fan Motor Feedback (PG/Hall Sensor): Wire the 3-pin Hall feedback plug carefully to avoid indoor fan speed error lockouts.
- Connect 4-Way Valve & EEV (Electronic Expansion Valve): Ensure the reversing valve coil voltage matches the kit relay output (220V AC).
